Day 01. Arrive Para
On arrival at Paro airport, you will be met by our representative, and transferred to your Paro hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 02. Paro
After breakfast drive to Satsam chorten and hike to Taktsang. This is the famed site where Guru Rinpochee alighted upon the back of a tigress. Later visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of Bhutan. In the afternoon visit Ta Dzong, once a fortified lookout tower and now the National Museum. Then walk down the hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), ‘the fortress of the heap of jewels’.
Day 03. Paro – Jeledzong (Trek Starts
After our breakfast, we will drive to Paro National Museum and meet our trekking crew members and before we start near National Museum. On clear days, the snow-capped mountains can be seen. The camp site- near old Jele Dzong. Altitude 3,350m; Distance 10 Km; Time 3 – 4 hours.’
Day 04. Jeledzong – Tshaluna
The days trail will be all the way downhill till you reach Tshaluna. Trail leads through the ancient trail through rhododendron forest. The trail takes you through thick alpine forest. The day’s camp will be at Tsheluna. Altitude : 2250m Distance 10 km, Time 4-5hrs.
Day 05. Tshaluna – Phajoding
The trail leads to climb up. The view of the valleys can be seen. The climb will take you till Pumla where lunch will be served at the Pumla monastery. After lunch the trail leads towards Phajoding and on clear days the views of “Gangkhar Punsum” 7554 mtrs, the highest mountain in Bhutan can be seen. Camp at Phajoding . Altitude 3,250 m; Distance 12 Km; Time 4-5 hour
Day 06. Phajoding – Thimphu
The trek to Thimphu is down hill through blue pine forests. Lunch will be served at Thimphu. Afternoon at Thimphu City tour – Visit to Takin zoo, Memorial Chhorten, Buddha statue & Thimphu town & Tashichho Dzong. Dinner and overnight in the hotel. Hotel Peaceful Resort or similar standard.
Day 07. Thimphu – Paro International Airport
Drive to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
